5/19/08 - The Vogues U9 National team went undefeated in the Potomac Valley AAU regionals to win the championship and claim the gold medal! Well done, girls!!
5/19/08 - Congratulations to the Vogues U11 National team as they win the silver medal in an extremely competitive region. By finishing second at the 2008 Potomac Valley AAU qualifiers, they earned the #13 seed for the national tournament.
5/13/08 - Vogues U17 (open) National team win gold medal at the 2008 Potomac Valley AAU regionals! They went undefeated in both pool and medal round. The players on the U17 team:

5/12/08 - Congratulations to the Vogues U14 National team as they went undefeated in pool play and the medal round to win the gold medal at the 2008 Potomac Valley AAU regionals.
5/6/08 - The Vogues U-12 Div. 2 team won the silver medal in the Potomac Valley AAU District D-2 qualifier. Going 3-0 in pool play the Vogues came to the medal round as a #1 seed. Beating Beltway Lady Cougars 48-44 in the semi-finals the Vogues matched up with the Cardinals in the final. The Vogues could not hold on to their 2 point half time lead and lost the Championship game 49-37. This is the first lost to a u-12 team for the Vogues who are 19-3 for the season so far. 

With the silver the Vogues receive a bid and will be going to the D-2 National tournament in Bloomington, Indiana July 4 - July 12. 
5/2/08 - Congratulations to the Vogues U13 Regional team for two well-played games in the DQT medal round that resulted in convincing victories.  They kept the intensity up throughout both games which was quite an accomplishment. By winning the PVAAU D2 District Championship the team earned one of the 2 automatic bids from the Potomac Valley District to the AAU 13U Division 2 Championship in beautiful Kingsport, TN July 9 through July 17.
4/30/08 - Signings from last year's 16 & under team: Congratulations to Seniors Jenna McRae from Annandale High School and Katie Wimmer from James Madison High School who have both committed to play basketball at the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Va.  

Jenna finished her high school career with 1100 points. She was 1st team Patriot Dist., 1st team Patriot tournament team, 2nd team all Northern Region., Bulldog Bash all tournament team, Fairfax Times all region team. She won the Katherine J. Buck award at Annandale for the player that demonstrates leadership on and off the court. In Volleyball she was 1st team Patriot Dist., Honorable Mention Northern Region.

Katie was MVP Suburban Classic All-Star Game,  1st Team Northern Region, Northern Region All-Tournament Team, 1st Team Liberty District, Liberty District All-Tournament Team, and Daytona Sunshine Classic All-Tournament Team. Katie was the recipient of the JMHS Scholar Athlete Award.
