Bio for Coach Kampman
During her playing career as a Lady Warhawk Leigh led
her team to two district championships and was a three-time first-team
all-district selection and a first-team all-region selection as a senior.
She is 12th on the program’s all-time scoring list with 1,078
points and fifth all-time in 3-pointers with 93. Leigh also helped lead
Madison to a berth in the regional final, a Group AAA state tournament
appearance, and a 26-4 record in 2003-2004.
She went on to play at the University of Mary
Washington where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in business
administration in 2008. While at UMW, she helped lead the Eagles to a 31-3
record and berth in the 2007 NCAA Division III Final 4 and had an overall
record of 88-8 and three NCAA berths in her three seasons. She and assistant
coach Kaitie Clarkin were teammates at UMW.
Leigh is excited to teach the game of basketball to
young players and is looking forward to a great AAU season!
Kaitie currently works at Madison High School where she
is in her first season as a varsity assistant coach for the Lady Warhawks.
This is her first year coaching with the Vogues.
She recently graduated from the University of
Mary Washington where she played basketball all four years. Her team saw
many successes, reaching the NCAA tournament all four years and going as far
as the Final Four in 2007 where they placed third in the nation.
She enjoys teaching the game and watching players grow and learn. Kaitie is very excited for the opportunity to help coach this season!
