Bio
for Coach Billi Ford
Billi Ford played
for the Vogues for eight years and returned to the organization as a
head coach of the 13u National team 2008. She was a member of the
'81 Vogues team from age 11. Her age group finished in the top 16 at
every Nationals between 1992-1999, winning the National
Championship 1993 and finishing in second place
in 1996. She played her high school basketball at Mount Vernon High
School and Hayfield Secondary School where she was a 4-time 1st team
All-District Player and All Met-Honorable Mention. Billi earned a
Division I scholarship to Lehigh University and played alongside
assistant Coach Saint-Louis. Ford was a county coach in the Falls
Church boys program for three years where she led her team to the
county championship game and was named Coach of the Year in 2006.
Billi believes AAU is
about preparing young ladies for their high school and exposing to
them to the possibilities after that. Her practices are structured
and are designed to work on fundamental skills, developing mental
toughness, and increasing each player’s basketball IQ.
Through the course of the season the
National team will average three tournaments a month and practice
twice a week for two hours (90 minutes on the court 30 minutes off
the court).

Bio for Coach Shelita Saint-Louis
A native Restonian, Shelita is in her
fourth year as the Varsity Assistant Girl’s Basketball coach at her
alma mater South Lakes High School in Reston, VA.
She played an integral role as an
assistant coach in assisting the Seahawks towards becoming regular
season Champions during the’ 08-09 season.
As a player at South Lakes, Shelita was
a consistent honor roll student and a four-year Varsity starter.
She garnered multiple First Team
All-District Honors, First Team All-Region Honors, All-Met honor and
was named Athlete of the Week on numerous occasions.
Shelita scored over 1,500 points at
South Lakes and led the Lady Seahawks to a District Championship
during the ’96-97 season.
Also, she was all-state in track and
field at South Lakes.
Upon graduating from South Lakes High
School in 1999, Shelita went on to play Division 1 college
basketball for
four years at Lehigh University from 1999-2003.
Shelita also has served as the Potomac Valley
Vogues13’s National Team Assistant Coach. As a Vogues player, she
played on the Vogues National Team which consistently finished in
the top 16 at Nationals, including a second place finish in 1996.
In addition to coaching,
Shelita works for the Federal Government and currently resides with
her husband Jean-Philippe (J.P.) in Sterling, VA.
