11/9/06 - Another Scholarship Commitment! Congratulations to Ashley Abed (Vogues 16s and Oakton HS senior) who will be attending Francis Marion University in Florence, S.C. on a full basketball scholarship in 2007-2008. Ashley competed on the successful Vogues 16 National team this spring and summer!!
10/24/06 - Check out some action shots from the final Vogues Fall clinic (10/22)!  If you're looking to continue to improve your skills, Vogues and Oakton coach Priester will be holding 2 clinics the next two Sundays (10/29 and 11/5).
10/17/06 - A friendly reminder that the last fall clinic will take place this Sunday 10/22 from 10 a.m. to Noon at Oakton High School. Thank you to all the girls who participated in the past 5 sessions and thank you to all the parents who continue to support the Vogues.  Hope to see you this Sunday!
10/11/06- Recent Scholarship Commitment! Congratulations to Maya Al-Shingieti (Vogues 16s and Marshall HS senior) and Rhianna Faithfull (Vogues 16s and Flint Hill School senior) on their scholarship offers and commitments!  Maya will be attending the New Jersey Institute of Technology on a full basketball scholarship in 2007-2008.  Rhianna will be attending Santa Clara University on a full basketball scholarship in 2007-2008.  Both student-athletes competed on the successful Vogues 16 National team this spring and summer!!
10/9/06 -  The Vogues held their fourth of six fall clinics this past Sunday, with eager players receiving instruction from Oakton Cougar head coach Fred Priester who was assisted by coaches Benjamin, Hannah, Joost, Lingenfelder, McRae and a number of Vogues players.  The clinics will continue for 2 more Sundays (October 15th and 22) and run from 10 a.m. to Noon.  Cost is $10 per session.   In addition, Coach Priester will be holding two additional Oakton Cougar Basketball Clinics on October 29th and November 5th.  These clinics are open to all girls and are also only $10 per session.
9/25/06 - The Vogues Fall Clinics continued this past Sunday morning, with another well-attended session led by Vogues Director Jody Patrick and assisted by coaches Benjamin, Joost, Korman, and Lingenfelder.  The Vogues Fall Clinics will continue every Sunday morning from 10 to Noon through October 22nd.  The cost is $10 per session and players register and pay at the door. All girls interested in improving their basketball skills are welcome!
9/17/06 - The Vogues Fall Clinics got off to a successful start today.  Players worked on skill development with experienced Vogues coaches.  The Fall Clinics continue every Sunday through October 22 from 10 a.m. to noon at Oakton High School.  Cost is $10 per session.
9/9/06 - The Vogues coaches will offer Fall Clinics starting Sunday September 17 and running every Sunday through October 22nd.  The clinics, for girls ages 8-17, will be held at Oakton High School from 10:00 a.m. to noon. The cost is $10 per session or all 6 sessions for $50.  In addition, Vogues coach Fred Priester will be holding two Oakton Cougar Basketball Clinics on October 29th and November 5th.  Cost for the Cougar Clinics will also be $10 per session.
8/15/06 - Congratulations to the Vogues 16 National Team who tied for 9th in the country at the AAU National Championship Tournament held in Orlando, FL on July12-20.
8/6/06 - Led by coaches Jeff Benjamin and Malcolm Watson, our Grade-based/6th Grade team won the National Championship with a convincing 55-26 win over the Texas Titans in Reno, NV. capping an undefeated run (8-0) to the title. Congratulations team and coaches!!!!!
7/19/06 - The Vogues 12 National Team finished 7th place in the 2006 AAU National Championship Tournament, losing only to the team that won the tournament and the #3 team in OT. Congratulations to Coach Benjamin and the team!
5/24/06 - Congratulations to the Vogues 13 National Team who qualified for the Division I National Tournament this weekend by compiling a 6-0 record and taking home the gold medal at the Renegades Super Regional Tournament in Philadelphia, PA.
